Krasnoyarsk hosted Siberian Medical and Pharmaceutical Forum, 29-30 September, 2010. The event was organized by the Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufactures, Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Region, V.F. Voyno-Yasenetsky KSM, and Public Chamber's Commission on Health. The meeting was attended by over 400 medical specialists from Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tuva, Khakassia, Yakutia, and Altai.
The first day were discussed the priorities of drug supply for residents of the region. Also were discussed issues of import substitution subsidy of medicines, and opportunities of the Russian pharmaceutical market.
«The share of domestic manufacturers in the pharmaceutical market is 20% today, and our goal is to double it in two years. One of the priorities issues of the regional health administration is a drug supply and an implementation of social support of the population of Krasnoyarsk Region»- said Health Minister of Krasnoyarsk Region Vadim Yanin.
Forum discussions were focused on the issues of drug supply of health facilities, government order, and the introduction of pharmaceutical economics. In this regard, there was a meeting on the role of the Public Chamber's Commission on Health in the modernization of health care.
On the second day of the Forum were heard presentations on the topics of development of domestic pharmaceutical industries, modernization of the drug supply, increasing the share of Russian medicines in purchases of drugs in Krasnoyarsk Region.
Also at the Forum was held an exhibition of the latest developments of domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies.
«As a result of the meeting ARPH and the Ministry of Health of the Krasnoyarsk Region are going to sign an agreement on cooperation. The main goal of document is to increase competitiveness of domestic production of medicines in the pharmaceutical market and to ensure product safety. These forums allow us to identify problems of health industry and to find its solutions. We are supporting the idea of making this Forum an annual event and we are looking forward for further cooperation with co-organizers of the Forum»-concluded the Director-General of ARPH Victor Dmitriev.
