A workshop on ‘’Modern pharmaceutical policies: an interaction of business and government for a better life quality’’ will be held in Yaroslavl, September 6, 2011. Co-organizers of the event are the EU - Russia Industrialists' Round Table, Association of Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (ARPM) and the Government of Yaroslavl region. The seminar will raise issues of a regulatory climate in the pharmaceutical industry in Russia, the applicability of European pharmaceutical experience, aspects of the localization of pharmaceutical production, innovative technologies in medicine and pharmacy, the interaction of producers and the medical community, and the other aspects. To participate the event were invited heads of relevant departments of the Health Ministry, Industry and Trade Ministry, Ministry of Economic Development, the European Association of generic drugs, the European Association of OTC drugs, non-governmental organizations, chief executives of Russian and foreign pharmaceutical companies.

‘’The last years we have seen an active and consistent development of the Yaroslavl pharmaceutical cluster. It was a the construction of new pharmaceutical productions, personnel trainings for the industry, science promotion of the creation of new drugs. Earlier this year, there was a pharmaceutical II All-Russian Student Olympics, which has become a landmark event for pharmacy students, physicians, biotechnologists, and chemists. The EU - Russia Industrialists' Round Table session is another step in the development of the pharmacy in Russia. The issues under discussion are important for both the Russian manufacturers, and our colleagues from the European Union. It is encouraging that the event will be held on the eve of the Yaroslavl political forum - "Davos on the Volga", aimed to bring together the positions of Russia and foreign partners’’ said ARPH General Director Victor Dmitriev.
